JODA Engineering Consultants is partnering with Hays Recruitment to hire a Mechanical Engineer for their office in Cork City. Projects vary in scale from small to large multi-million-pound projects and in a variety of sectors, including Industrial, Retail, Hotel and Leisure, Commercial and Offices, Residential, Medical and Educational, with no two projects being the same.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering with circa 5 years+ experience in a similar role, who is looking to grow and be mentored by a chartered engineer and an experienced and diverse team.
We are offering you an exciting opportunity to undertake all aspects of design on the projects you will be working on. You will also have a combined 90+ years' wealth of knowledge and experience available to help you develop and grow your career in the direction that you wish to take. The candidate will be confident, able to problem solve, and ambitious, looking to progress within a company long term.
The Role
As an employee of this company, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of construction and engineering. Below is a glimpse of what you will be responsible for:
- Site Visits.
- Managing Budgets/Pricing/Tenders.
- Client Communication.
- Deal with technical enquiries from internal and external customers.
- Prepare calculations.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding technical matters.
- Technical presentations.
The Person
- Level 7+ degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years+ minimum experience in a similar role.
- Full Irish Driving Licence - Essential.
- Chartered or near chartered is preferable but not essential.
